I blinked away a tear, squinting my eye as it fell down my cheek. Mason lifted his pointer finger, and tapped on the pale skin over my heart. "I'll always be in your heart." I placed my hand over top of his, squeezing it gently, with fear of hurting him. He looked up at me with faded blue eyes and smiled, even through the pain. "And you will always be in mine, beating or not. So just know, no matter what, I will always be here with you."
