The Light of Miera: A Guard's Request (Book 1) by WriterMashashy
19 parts Complete Mature
(Epic Fantasy/LGBT Romance) COMPLETED & PUBLISHING A Guard's Request will be published with Fantastic Books Publishing in October of 2023, but I have decided to leave this early draft up for anyone who can't wait until then. With the creation of the Valnyr Galaxy, the Guardians vowed never to interfere with the affairs of the mortal realm. However, when sinister forces seek to steal the power of the Manastream, Alamantra's Guardian finds that some oaths are easier to keep than others. Life is about to change for the citizens of Freya as a blight sweeps across the land, corrupting the mana held within their bodies. Princess Arafrey finds herself stripped of all she holds dear, alone on the frontlines. However, there is hope as guards Reyla and Tharin take on a quest from the Gods to cure the sickness, leaving Freya to traverse the Ten Kingdoms in search of The Hand of Miera. But will they be able to find it in time? Meanwhile, in the East, The Duran Empire marshals their forces as the Emperor seeks to invade the starved desserts of Sudra. But the Sudra hold a terrible secret and Queen Nymati will not go down without a fight. * * * Imagine if Tim Burton and Joss Whedon got together to make a story to rival Full Metal Alchemist or Fairy Tail: that's my writing style. I hit some pretty deep topics but I try keep it light and entertaining. Trigger Warnings/Mature Content: I will post trigger warnings at the beginning of scenes to warn people, but let's make a list here just to be sure. Sex, survivors guilt, suicide, rape, murder, gay/lesbian sex, masturbation, assault, torture, addiction... There maybe more I missed, let me know if you feel I should add anything else. 42 parts Complete
A magic-addicted spy trapped in the queen's service must track a princess-turned-assassin in order to earn her freedom, but things get complicated when she falls for the princess she's supposed to capture. ***** Weak. Cursed. That's how seventeen-year-old Kayden Branimir, the realm's deadliest assassin, views herself. Some believe she could save the world with her rare healing magic, but she gave up on her powers long ago after failing to save her best friend. Her life changes when she receives a letter from her supposedly dead twin brother, Alaric, begging to be rescued from rival territory Leodia. For the first time since her friend's accident, Kayden is determined to be the hero, but she must learn to embrace her magic--and herself--along the way. Strange. Unnatural. Those are the words whispered about eighteen-year-old Zara Tait, a Leodian spy addicted to soul-stealing magic. Forced into the queen's service, Zara wants to escape and return home, but she has nothing to offer the queen in exchange for her freedom. When Kayden arrives in Leodia, Zara sees the quiet girl with unique magic as the bargaining chip she needs. But the more she learns of Kayden, the more her feelings grow. Now, Zara must choose between her freedom and the dangerous assassin she hadn't meant to fall for. The Blood of Amietta

42 parts Complete Mature

A loner with a bad attitude and a misplaced princess are forced to work together to free themselves from a hitchstone, a magical jail cell powerful enough to trap an entire town. Mila Wilde had no idea what she was getting herself into when she decided to take a peek inside of a strange metal box. Or maybe she did- she can't remember. Either way, it's a decision that she can't take back. Without her memories, Mila has no choice but to place her trust in Noelani, a spoiled princess from a faraway land. A task easier said than done. Between practicing her newfound magic and figuring out her complicated past, Mila finds that she is quite reluctant to leave the princess's side. Even if that means forgetting about the family she's been trying to locate since she was twelve. Blood is thicker than water. At least that's what her mother taught her- but Mila isn't so sure about that anymore. Not when her mother is against the only thing that has ever made her feel powerful. And the only person that Mila would ever trust with her life. Maybe it's time for a new lesson. Sometimes broken things can't be mended. Mila can feel it in her blood.
