Emma is not your typical teen she-wolf. The typical she-wolf lives in a safe neighborhood and has a loving family. She would have an older brother who protects her no matter what and best friends who are very loyal to her. Well, Emma has none of that. She lived in a neighborhood where gang violence in present. She can’t go outside and play like a normal girl or else she’d get jumped. She never had the opportunities of a good education, seeing as her teachers wouldn't even bother teaching the ‘delinquents’ at her school. Her brother is a gang leader and when he got angry over something Emma did, he tried to kill her. Because of this, her family sent Emma out of town and into a safer city to stay there with her aunt. She finds her mate there and is finally happy until she finds out that the previous alpha gang leader wants her back.

But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker.
