Then she caught what was half a mile away from her. It was easily a beast. A reptilian creature. Something that could only exist in nightmares. It stood on its hind legs. Its hands and feet had claws that were at least five inches long. There was a nasty, sickle-like claw on its second toe that tapped the stone. It's body was covered in feathers and scales. It had big amber eyes. It was looking straight at her.

The Object Behind the Slaughter
24 random objects have been selected to go to a resort on a remote island. The place seems a bit off at first, but they don't think to much of it. One of the objects is offered a second chance of getting powers for their own because Two randomly left one day. But, to get the powers they have to do awful things to prove they are worthy. With no recovery centers and one insane object everything goes to hell.... fast. Took inspo from the fanfic Fear Garden by IceMintFreeze and the book The Island by Natasha Preston. This book is intended for a more mature audience, so if you don't like gore I suggest to not read.

After their plane goes down in the South Pacific, a ragtag group of survivors fend for themselves in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Nature is an enemy, so are other humans. I had never seen a monster before, I had this misconception about how it would be. I thought for sure it would be dripping fangs and sharpened claws so to speak. I thought it should at least be easy to tell, that something so evil, so black would leave a mark. Some indication of the stained soul beneath, that if all was fair you should at least be able to tell, feel the evil coming off them. Oh how very wrong this foolish notion was and how unfortunate for me that the very first monster I would ever see would be so horribly beautiful. You would never know from that face, those gentle eyes, the soft spoken politeness. How could I have known that I had just said hello to the angel from my nightmares.Complete
THE DEVIL'S SON (Completed)
MEWGULF STORY Elle stopped in her tracks as a hand came out of the well. Clutching the stones, the hand got followed by another one. Elle panicked as she noticed the long black claws that seemed to belong to an animal, but she couldn't move. She just stood there frozen as a head slowly rose from behind the wall of stones. Long black worn-out hair covered the face and thick, jagged scars covered the arms. Slowly the monster lifted his head and Elle saw his eyes. Dark, lifeless black eyes that stared right back at her. A scream erupted from her throat.

It walked on four legs, like a wolf or a fox. It was bigger than a wolf but smaller than a black bear. Its body was in colour similar to hay, except for its belly which was white. Its short fur was marked with black spots as though it had been touched by a man who had dipped his fingers in tar. It had long white whiskers, a long, elegant tail and green eyes with no whites. Truly was it a handsome creature. Bramley realised that it was the beast with the strange game for unsuspecting villagers. The beast met Bramley's gaze and Bramley knew that he had been selected.Complete

Suddenly there was a huge roar. I take a step back covering my ears, my head spins, it is so loud I can't hear myself think. I stand at the mouth of the cave that yawns wide open on the side of a cave. Its big, bigger than a mountain lion bigger than a bear. And I am about to walk into it's cave. But I HAVE to find out what it is. What if there IS a dragon? It will eat me for sure. but I keep going, I just need to make sure it doesn't see me. I walk to this opening as the path split in two edging me across the wall. I will be careful, silent, it will never know I was even here. There is a rocky cliff side and a drop. I look up from my thought and my eyes lock with gleaming golden eyes. I freeze every muscle in my body locks and I can't move. Towering taller than a building stands something I never thought could exist. A dragon. My heart pounded in my ears as my blood ran cold.Complete

'I turned around and saw a creeper standing directly behind me, tilting his head to take a bite of my neck. It's breath was putrid, their crooked teeth stained orange from the feeding of animals. I grabbed my knife out of my boot and sliced it's throat. It stumbled back and came at me again. I poised the knife in my hand and forced it into its bloodshot eye. Blood pooled out of its socket as it fell to the ground.' Arizona is living in a world of ruin and wreckage in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. It seems there is no hope for having a normal family someday. People she loves are dying left and right and she doesn't know what to do as they are consumed by the virus. Until her life turns around for the better when she encounters somebody in the forest. The world crumbles down around her, will she ever come out of the rubble alive? She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.Complete
