As selfless as she may seem to others, she always thought the worst of things, and it always is her own fault. Well, to her mind that is.
The total opposite of her mindset is him. Completly above his high horse looking down on people never taking the blame because as he says, "It's not my fault.", and to him, it never is.
And of course there's always going to be somebody else to blame.
