Every love has a story. How you first met. Who said the first word. Even mine does. Seven o'clock is not the time anyone will think of falling in love. But as our worlds collided, we did just that. In a moment lost in space, a single introduction had changed everything. I wonder if things would have been different if the day we met came with a warning. A word to tell you that this was right or this could be wrong in so many ways. I wonder where he is right now. I wonder if he's happy with his life. An Unspoken Thing
They say when you fall in love, there's no denying it. Falling in love is the most special thing in the world, because standing before you is the one you're meant to spend the rest of your life with. Once, I did believe that, with everything of my very being. It was incredible, undeniable as had once been said. Our wedding was so beautiful, touching some would say. I'd never seen a man cry before that day. Then things changed. I lost feeling as I became trapped, unable to pull from the web surrounding me. I would scream, yet nobody heard a thing. Cry, yet nothing changed. Fight, but I always lost. "Say you love me." I remember telling him. He would always say he did, then the beatings started again and I was back in a cycle of torment and pain. I had given up completely. Then one night, things changed. A miracle some would say, as the monster before me was no more. The car wreck had saved me. The memories and nightmares would still haunt me though. Overtime I tried to be happy, but his face, his hands, his spit, all the memories kept coming back. I never thought I'd be able to get away. I lost all belief in love and beauty. All I saw was destruction as I locked myself away from the pain waiting to creep back in. I spoke of this to nobody, and with that meant I stopped speaking all together. Mason and I were close. I looked up to him, not as a lover but as a partner. He was my best friend, my other half, a shoulder to lean on; Mason was the best person I could have ever possibly met. I saw him not as most women see men but as they see their siblings. Even with our cupid status, we hadn't believed in love, we only believed in loyalty. "What is it like to be in love?" He quietly giggled and shook his head. "I do not know; I've never been in love before. I think that it is like caring for someone so deeply that you would put their needs before your own. Being in love is like being with your best friend all the time, they know you better than anyone else does, they are someone who helps you become a better person just by being there. Being in love is... well... it is knowing and accepting and believing in them no matter whom else is there. You will always care for them, even if you aren't there with them. If you are truly in love then nothing will ever change that." He promised me that he would always be there even in my darkest moments, but it turned out... that is was nothing but a lie. It was only a lie that our kind had told themselves, to secure their mental state. Walking down the alleys of the streets, to not be seen, I turn my head in the opposite direction of my destination. Footprints, we left footprints in the snow; of course they were faint and were soon ready to disappear yet they were still there. At that point in time they were there whether it was seen or not. I guess each of us were humans at one point, whether we were seen or not, we were still there. Then one day we weren't, we disappeared only to be covered by the lies that our loved ones told themselves to understand that missing feeling. Every year there's a big test well I wouldn't call it a test more like a cheek up, every doctor comes to see if your sick. Not sick with a cold, but sick like in love. Why do we love people? Why do we fall in love? Why would we fall in love if there's a 50/50 chance of not being loved back? Well the answer is because it's the way we live, the way we survive, but what if that was all taken away from us? We couldn't love, like, anything, we had to hide our feelings inside us no matter how hard it was.
