Il bambino rivolse un'occhiata nervosa alla freccia, che ancora volteggiava grazie al gioco di mani di Magnus.
"Mi scusi..." mormorò allo stregone, senza tuttavia ricambiare il suo sguardo.
Tese poi il braccio per riavere indietro la freccia, ma Magnus si limitò a sorridere. Tenne d'occhio la reazione del bambino, divertito e affascinato al tempo stesso. C'era qualcosa di contraddittorio in lui: i suoi occhi gli trasmettevano candore e l'innocenza tipica della sua giovane età, ma la serietà del bambino e la sua compostezza sciupavano un po' quell'impressione.
"Nessun problema..." rispose infine, smettendo di giocare con la freccia per restituirgliela. "... Alexander."
