Once upon a time there was this big and beautiful kingdom where numerous supernatural creatures lived. Humans, werewolves, vampires, witches and wizards and even angels, lived all in the same place. Until one day, the Mad Angel King decided to ruin it all. He thought angels were creatures too pure to live with the other impure creatures, so he gathered and tortured the most powerful witches so that they'd create him an island above the clouds, floating above the kingdom. With his wish conceded, the Mad Angel King took all of the angels to the island. But he wasn't satisfied. The thought of having all of the impure creatures right below their feet horrified him. He had to get rid of them all. A war began. No side was able to surpass the other and when the Mad Angel King was killed, the war that had been going on for centuries was finally over. But the hate between the sides never faded and they could no longer coexist together. So they made a treaty: they would stay in their own lands. If any of them trespassed to the others' land, another war would begin. {COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

For All the Skies Between Us by IsoldeRosa
15 parts Ongoing
She was not born an angel. She was made into one. The church called it salvation, though she and the others knew better. They were experiments-children forced to carry the blood of something greater, something divine or perhaps monstrous. The priests never revealed whose blood it was, only that it belonged to a "god." She never saw that god, never even knew its name. But she felt it in her veins every day-burning, reshaping, devouring what was once human inside her. From the ritual came her wings: vast and terrible, twelve feet of shadowed feathers stretching behind her, with smaller, flame-lined wings sprouting at her feet. With them, she flew faster than arrows and struck harder than any sword. Fire itself bent to her will, rising and falling with her breath, a weapon she alone commanded. For years she fought in the war of men. Cities burned, armies fell, and still the blood in her veins demanded more. But no power, not even hers, could shield her from loss. Three of her companions-those who had shared the same cursed experiment-were gone, their bodies left behind on the battlefield. She buried them in ash and flame, and with that, she could fight no longer. She turned her back on the church, on the endless slaughter, and wandered into lands untouched by war. For a brief moment, she believed she could escape the cycle. Yet fate was not so kind. The world around her shifted-time, space, reality itself bending. In an instant, the smoke and ruins of men's wars were gone, replaced by a land of jagged mountains, black forests, and skies haunted by creatures she had never seen. Here, the battles were not waged between kings and soldiers, but against things far more primal. Monsters. And though she had left the battlefield behind, destiny had not left her.

For generations, the Dorothea family has borne what they call a "curse," though others whisper of it as a dark inheritance-a twisted irony for a name that means "Gift of God." This so-called gift was anything but divine. It was said that when the mother of a firstborn child perished, the curse passed to the child, marking them as its next vessel. On the night of the crimson moon, that child would be driven by forces beyond their control, becoming an unrelenting harbinger of death for those steeped in sin. The curse claimed Penelope Dorothea as an infant, sealing her fate before she even had a chance to live. To save her, she was spirited away to the neighboring country of Valort and taken in by the revered General of Sylvan, a man known for his unshakable honor and strength. But Penelope grew up with no memory of the family that had forsaken her, nor of the dark legacy that coursed through her veins. In Sylvan, she carved a life of her own, rising through the ranks to become the respected Captain of District 8. Along the way, she fell deeply in love with Blake Laurens, the General's son-a man who seemed to embody everything noble and good. But love is never simple, especially for one burdened with shadows. As Penelope's past begins to unravel, she discovers a truth far more chilling than the curse she thought she had escaped. Blake is not the man he seemed, and the ties that bind them may be far more dangerous than she could ever imagine. With each crimson moon, the curse stirs, and Penelope is forced to confront a dark prophecy that could either consume her...or reveal who she was always meant to be. In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress

***Book Two of the Orson Goldbloom tetralogy*** "The time?" I ask. "Three thirty in the afternoon," replies Evangeline Youngspire. The summer sun shines in the distance, flashing like a gold curtain string on a silky blue drape, and believe me, I've seem enough of both of those in the sapphire conference room. The view outlines her ashy brown hair, and brings out her gleamy dark eyes. Yeah, 'gleamy' is not a real word, but who cares. "Cool," I say. "We get three more hours to spend before the feast." Yeah, Evangeline and I started dating. Sort of. It's mainly just show for the kids. The kids. Maybe I care more about them than I thought. Goodie sits down next to me. He grabs a grilled cheese and chicken sandwich from the platter, and starts inhaling it. "Goodie? What are you doing here?" I ask, trying to sound pleasant. That's big talk for 'What the f😠😠😠 are you doing here? You little s😤😤😤, get the f😠😠😠 out of here!'. "I have good news. I got promoted to field agent!" Goodie says happily. I sigh and clap for him, while he helps hinself to another sandwich. "What weapon do you use?" Evangeline asks kindly. "I use a spear!" announces Goodie proudly. Evangeline and I share a panicked look. For Jezebel Chesterfield also used a spear...
