Nicky Cavalerie's life was great before high school, everything was much simpler. She wasn't nearly as stressed and insecure as she is now because let's be honest; high school brings out the worst in people. It's literal hell on earth but anyway.

She had her two best friends in the world by her side but the summer before they started as freshmen they began to ignore her and push her to the side. She begged them to tell her what was wrong but they just treated her like a stranger.

Now in her junior year Nicky's used to the silent treatment, it still hurts but she's got a feeling that will never change. Then Marley comes along and suddenly she's not so alone anymore, she's making new friends.  Of course it's too good to be true though because it isn't long before shit starts to spiral out of her control and she has no idea what to do or how to feel.
