Kate Andrews is a normal freshman in high school. She has a crush, is on the flag team, has two parents who are in love, and some friends. She watches Netflix in her pajamas, has a reading problem, and sometimes gets grounded for doing something deemed "stupid". Then one day she comes home from school and that changes. Next thing she knows she is off to one of the most private schools, Amberwood Prep, on a scholarship she got out of no where. Little does she know what waits for her on the other side of those iron gates buried deep in the woods will turn her entire world upside down.

An ancient race, an old prophecy, some teenagers, and a weird school. How did she get caught up in it?
