Hope is a regular Freshman girl at Arrow-View High School. Well, I guess 'regular' isn't the right word to describe her. She is classified as an 'Emo' girl who supposedly cuts and gets judged for the type of music she listens to. She has long, jet black hair with slightly tanned skin. She loves to sing and play her electric guitar and bass, and especially write stories in school. Her two out of three supposed 'best friends' abandoned her in the eighth grade when she got into the music. She hangs out with her guy friends all day everyday and her one true best friend who didn't abandon her. She also made friends with another girl and her friends who share her same likings (music type). But, being bullied by her past 'friends' and their new friends is getting harder and harder every day. Can she manage to survive the rest of these four years or will she do the unthinkable. {4 book series! So look for new books!}

Her overbearing father won't even let her choose what instrument she plays. Then she finds herself alone at a party with Ren, her best friend's crush. She'd always thought he was rude, but after that night he's all Ella can think about. Now she's trapped. If Ella dates Ren, it will ruin her friendship with Jenny.
