We live on the edge of the dark forest, in a small village by the lake hidden between the mountains. Most people don't know it by name, but many have heard about the terrible things that have happened here.

They say its not safe for girls to be in the woods alone. They say that its dangerous, and forbidden. That there is an unseen evil lurking in the shadows. But do I listen...no.

My Momma would always tell me "Don't talk to strangers, Go to the shed, grab some wood, and come straight back" I tried to listen. I tried to be a good girl. I truly did. But even at the age of ten he had a pull on me. He had a way of making me want to break the rules...
