Since birth Kallie Mae Burns has had an uncontrollable fascination with fire, wether it be a lit candle or a burning house, for some reason she can't get burnt.
Her parents take her out of school after a fire incident at her High School to homeschool her. To avoid publicity and more, accidents, Kallie's parents move to the wettest state possible. Washington. There, she is re-enrolled at Riverview High, a dumpy little High School. All in all it's pretty great. They have nice neighbors and even a cute little farm. Not to mention her attractive desk partner who seems to know something about herself even she doesn't.
What happens when their neighbors, the Lamb's, house burns down, will people in Riverview find out about her? Will she ever find out why she can do what she does?
