Eventually, her father moves her to Half-Blood High in Manhattan with her aunt, away from her Seattle home. Joining the school in late October, she immediately attends the Halloween dance, where she spots an attractive Popeye with no Olive Oyl.
Pre-drinking and spiked fruit punch has the two of them dancing on each other, then moving their business to an empty classroom. A steamy night ensues, but as morning arrives and they wake up draped over desks, a blocked number sends the boy a picture of their night, threatening to mass text it to the entire school. Popeye reveals himself as Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon.
And he's got a girlfriend.
