I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. A giant. (This is my book from my own brain. These are my own characters based off my family members. Please do not steal it.)

Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. No one saw this coming, something like this happening is never planned by anyone, it was small at first, subtle warning's from the news then it hit hard within a couple hours, weeks. Pretty soon people were screaming, running from loved one's that caught a strange virus that was floating around for some reason that is still unknown a year later. Now everyone is fighting to be the last one standing as if it's a game, there are only a few people left in only a year, there's rumours about a cure going around but I know that's fake, nobody would be stupid enough to test if their immune.
