If you could stop the world from being blown to oblivion, would you? Ryan McCoy is a killer; a killer who can look into the eyes of his victims and not feel the slightest bit of remorse. Taking lives is something he's spent years committing himself to, but not the lives of innocents. He's what his kind call a tracker, where hardened criminals who roam free are the kinds of people you bury in exchange for money. However, after tragedy strikes, he's forced into fatherhood while being pursued by his old team of trackers. It's considered a sin to abandon your group, once you join, there's no escape. But Ryan does escape, and he does so in the most brutal of ways. Five years later, all of the trackers he once knew and worked with have gone corrupt. They became the criminals they were once so eager to find. After Ryan is introduced to a mysterious new face, his past catches up to him and his family. Secrets and deceit begin to follow him, and the only way he can rid himself of it is if he reunites with the trackers and goes along with one of the most inhumane acts of all time. Who is the one orchestrating all of it? The psychotic, cold, empty sociopath he's forced to call his brother. A brother whose life mission is to take everything Ryan's ever worked for and destroy it. ***WARNING*** This is a fictional story comprised of fictional characters. I knew, deep down I knew. Something bad happened every October when the blood moon was at its peak. As a child, I was hidden away with my grandma, while the others, my siblings, my cousins and my parents went away with my fathers friends, my aunts and uncles as well. i was the youngest you see. Some didn't return, I knew that for sure. Despite their pitiful attempts to make me forget about them. One day my brother didn't return, he was the eldest of us all. Everyone loved him. His name was David. Everyone said he was dead, but I knew he wasn't. It was David for god sakes. He was the strongest and the smartest of us all. He did not just go get himself killed, he was taken from us. Now I know. I am of age now. I know what comes out from the shadows during a blood moon. The monsters do, ones from your darkest of nightmares, they dress and look like angels but they are far from them. No one should be fooled by them. now I hunt. now I kill those monsters they way they hunt us. And now I am making it my mission to find my brother and I wasn't gonna wait until the red moon to find him. ••• "If you want to find your brother you're going to have to talk to the boss. He knows everything about what's going on here. He created us all." The disgusting red eyed man told me. "Where can I find the boss?" I questioned. "In prison, for serial rape and homicides on girls like you," He was trying to scare me and I was having none of it, in one swift move i held the gun to his head, it was loaded with the finest silver bullets ever, and my family emblem was ingrained into every single one so they know that I've been here. And they know i am coming for them. "His name!" I demanded "Andrew Dennis Biersack."

Her father left. The perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. Claire needed her father. Her mother works hard, but hard to keep the neighbors impressed. Then, her dad runs away to be a rock band roadie. Her 4.5 AP Nerdfest brother is accused of raping and murdering a girl with Special Needs. And when she and her best friend go on a runaway road trip--they end up in a truck with sex traders. Claire's world spins out of control--until it doesn't. It is 2008 and In 2008 the whole world changed. And not just because the iphone came out in 2007. It wasn't just the families of the OC Housewives that were living a reality show; so many families seemed to be all about "the house" and not "the home." Sunglasses cost hundreds of dollars and "bags" were thousands. Everything had a label that said you spent a lot of money. People went crazy buying another house, a boat, a Hummer (at 10 miles to the gallon). I distinctly remember two couples, in their late 30s, who were shopping together in Toys R Us. They had a video camera and were discussing the "rules" to this shopping trip. The rules were they had to look into the camera and say what they were buying, for who and why. And the carts had to be overflowing with toys. It was as if they had dreamed their entire lives of doing a "who cares how much it costs" shopping spree at Toys R Us for their children. Just recklessly spending on a bunch of STUFF. That was 2007. And then came 2008. But, more disturbing to me, was the impact it had on families. I think moms and dads lost themselves in providing stuff for their kids and not giving their kids time. And I saw the kids suffer because of it. So, I did a little research and a lot of observing and I wrote a mostly fictional story about an upper-middle class family in the OC. It explores (it simple terms) what was going on in the economy and what teenagers really want from their parents...

The killing are happening again I said to my mother from the living room, she walked in to watch the news reporter explain the chain of evens that have been happening a little to close together in grove hill. The reporter spoke clearly "the last where about's have not been released yet but the lapd have been on the case for months now with the disappearances still happening will we ever get to the bottom of the phantom killer back to you John" both me and my mom looked at each other in sync saying lock up I'll take the upstairs rooms and you lock up down here. Walking up the steps my head kept circling around the fact that more and more disappearances are happening who or what could possibly be doing this. I made sure to lock every window, heading back downstairs I heard a plate drop and a scream. Mom! Mom answer me! Circling into the kitchen I see my mom laid out on the floor blood gushing from her stomach. No mom I scrabbled to grab a towel and placed it hard on her wound. I fumbled my phone a few times before I got it unlocked typing in 9-1-1 I heard someone in the corner say tsk tsk tsk I wouldn't do that.

It started when the rain fell. As it hit the windows rhythmically, I fought my sleep. Fighting off the demons in my dreams. I hadn't realized how real that dream became. Waking up to terrified screaming. My heart racing, the lighting striking and my family begging for their lives. I claimed myself as a coward that very same night. I hated myself. My depression became the best of me. What's worst then your family being slaughtered? Hiding in the closet from the killers. I should've helped, I should've been there for them. The pain between my chest and stomach was growing guilt. So I started thinking smart. Looking at everyone differently. I decided to reopen their cold cases. And when I found the truth it hit me deep.
