Christine Daaé struggled with that question all during high school. She never dated, or even had many friends. She spent most of her time with her one and only friend Meg Giry, studying, and singing. She never saw the jealous looks from the girls, or adoring glaces from most, if not all, the guys. She wanted to wait for that one person she knew was just right for her.

Erik Destler wonders the exact same thing. He's unearthly talented with music. But, who could ever love someone who is far too ugly, and would keep them hidden away? No one... or so he thinks.

Now, Christine is graduated from high school. She is taking a year off to work at a local bookstore that she absolutely loves, and save up some money to pay the costly fees of college and some money of her own.

Erik is still living his normal life, away from everyone and everything... besides Nadir of course.

Will they ever find that one person?
