Rich, sophisticated, and successful entrepreneur Erick D'Angelo has walked the earth for the last five-hundred years striving to learn and work for the life he's always wanted. It wasn't until that fateful night in the winter of 1992 that he realized what he'd really wanted again: a companion to love, cherish, and worship. Three months after that night he returns to the family with the promise that on their daughters eighteenth birthday he will come for her and she will be his. He's sworn that he will not return until then but as any businessman knows, there are always loopholes. Just because he can't be there like her family can as she grows up doesn't mean she can't dream of him and through her adolescent and teenage years he can't help but fall for her more and more each day. Christa has always had a good life. She has a small group of friends she trusts, a great family she loves to spend time with, and even though she isn't allowed to date catches the interest of Jake- one of the most popular guys in school. During the night, however, in her dreams she's taken to a place where all of that disappears and she's surrounded by nothing but Erick; a man with blond hair, pale skin, and dark gray eyes who speaks of nothing but his love for her, how her life would be with him, and how happy they'll be once she's eighteen. Of course, they're only dreams right? After all, her eighteenth birthday is only a week or so away.
