The dead have returned and have started invading the bodies of living humans, its literally death on Earth for selected survivors known as "Resistance" 18 year old Laura "Laurie" Stark's body is invaded by a body seeker, the spirit and memories of 19 year old Eleanor "Ella" Summers, except Ella isn't like the other body seekers. Ella has a story, a mission and a promise but all Laurie cares for is finding her family, best friend Carla and a boy Max, keeping a promise and ridding her body of Ella.. Will Laurie break her promise and beliefs so Ella can fulfil a thirty year old promise or will Laurie leave Ella with lose ties.
