Rumor has it that when a person meets their soulmate, their chests would glow an extraordinary colour. The two minds would immediately link with eachother, bonding in such a way that it would be impossible not to fall in love.
Of course, this is a very rare occurrence.. Some would call it an urban legend. There isn't any proof, in reality. Photos and videos would be called photoshop, or edited effects. Witnesses cannot be believed. That's just the way it is. However, some people still believe in this.. miracle, this... this crazy and mysterious event. But.. they'll never know when or if it will happen.
A fanfiction about Death Note's very own L and Light in a bully x victim situation. Yaoi included. Based off a tumblr AU where when a person meets their soulmate their chests glow.
~I originally lost this whole story and I wasn't going to rewrite it but I managed to recover the first chapter, so I'm posting it here and I'll slowly redo the whole thing. :) ~

Okay, so this is another soulmate AU. Surprise surprise. It's the soul string AU, where everyone has a magical string tied to their ring finger. The other end of the string is tied to the ring finger of their soulmate. Every time the two people are close, their soul strings will tense up and start dragging them towards each other. When they touch for the first time, the soul string will disappear until they kiss. If your soulmate is in really really bad emotional or physical pain, your soul string shows up black; just as a little bow around your finger. This story is loosely made for the AU, but it isn't a big part of the story. The mentions of the soul strings pop up sometimes, but that's not all they talk about. Also a disclaimer: I got a little carried away sometimes and some of the stuff isn't that like kiribaku but there's moments there from the actual anime so you can skip if you want but I'd appreciate if you'd read it 😊Complete

Soulmates. The most talked about topic in the world. You can use a special pen to write on your arm. Whatever you write will appear on them. The ink is invisible to everyone, which makes it even harder to find your soulmate. The pen can change colours when the person writing is feeling a different emotion. Most colours have multiple meanings. The shade of the colour depends on how strong or light the emotion is, for example, if your soulmate is extremely angry, the writing will be dark red, when their slightly irritated, the writing would be a light/pastel red. You cannot write certain details to your soulmate, like your name, country, address, school, on your body. You CAN however, give them a nickname that only they can use. You may be wondering, how do you find your soulmate? Well, it's very luck based. You'll feel unnaturally drawn to the person. To finally find out if you're soulmates or not, you'll have to kiss. Once you kiss them, a beautiful bright light surrounds the both of you, binding your souls together for eternity. Kirishima is a bright and bubbly person who is rarely upset. When he IS upset, he doesn't write to his soulmate. Due to his... rough childhood, he never really wrote to his soulmate until the end of middle school. He constantly doodles on his skin but quickly wipes it away even though the ink is invisible and only he can see it. His soulmate, on the other hand, is a handful.
