Rumor has it that when a person meets their soulmate, their chests would glow an extraordinary colour. The two minds would immediately link with eachother, bonding in such a way that it would be impossible not to fall in love.
Of course, this is a very rare occurrence.. Some would call it an urban legend. There isn't any proof, in reality. Photos and videos would be called photoshop, or edited effects. Witnesses cannot be believed. That's just the way it is. However, some people still believe in this.. miracle, this... this crazy and mysterious event. But.. they'll never know when or if it will happen.
A fanfiction about Death Note's very own L and Light in a bully x victim situation. Yaoi included. Based off a tumblr AU where when a person meets their soulmate their chests glow.
~I originally lost this whole story and I wasn't going to rewrite it but I managed to recover the first chapter, so I'm posting it here and I'll slowly redo the whole thing. :) ~

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. [Completed✅] There is a spark in the side of your view, which manifests at age five. The closer you are to your soulmate the bigger/stronger the spark gets. When your soulmate gets hurt the spark turns blue for however long the person is being hurt (Not how long they are hurt after the fact). The spark is normally an Orange/Yellow/Red colour. After your first kiss with your soulmate (even a peck on the lips) the spark becomes a flame, which still turns blue if your soulmate gets hurt. If your soulmate dies the spark of flame fizzles out.
