Alfred here knew the routine. Find a woman sleeping, maybe have intercourse, and in the end take the should of them. That was his nightly routine, but when that time came for you, it was "different."
He still found you, yes, he didn't have intercourse because that just depends on the person, but he didn't take your soul. Because of that he would keep coming every night just to watch you sleep. (Maybe he looked around a bit as well but that's not the point.) He found you beautiful, to not be worthy of having your soul taken away. He didn't really see you as "pure" either. It was weird. It was different. It was something he couldn't describe.
