For the life of me...I couldn't remember where it was I came from, what I needed, how to live.

When I awoke, the air was thick with dust and ash. My lungs burning like fire as I inhaled deeply to catch my breath, but for the life of me it wasn't working. Giving up on my breath I leaned against the crumbling wall and took in my surroundings. 

Burned papers littered the ground among the rubble of stone and iron. My chest rose and fell heavily as I glanced around in the dark, everything taking on a grayish hue in the darkness as dizziness swept over me. 

Blinking furiously my lashes brushed my cheeks as my hands probed the ground around me, searching for my glasses. 

Not finding them I gave up and came across a paper, no, a picture... Looking at the distorted faces caused a headache to rear its ugly head, I flinched and grasped my head as images flickered through my mind like a slideshow.All Rights Reserved
