What would you do if your entire life has been a lie? All my life I had been led to believe that my parents were dead and that my aunt passed away when I was five. I spent my childhood in and out of foster homes until I ran away at the age of twelve. With the help of a complete stranger who is now my best friend I was able to start with a clean slate but at the age of seventeen one little jog changed that.
My battered body now yearns for relief from the torture it has endured and I find myself praying for death only it does not come. My captors keep referring to me as a Corbeaux but as to who or what this is I do not know. As I am transferred from one captor, Silas, to another, Judas, I can't help but find myself falling for him. I survived Silas but the question is would I survive Judas and would I find out just what it meant to be a Corbeaux?
