Brooklyn (A Paul Lahote Story)

My name is Danielle Hudson - preferably called Dani. I am the fastest female runner in my schools track team, located in Brooklyn, New York.
I am the only child in my family and, sadly, my mom passed due to breast cancer when I was ten. So, since then, it's just been me, my dad, and my beautiful husky - Skie.
My dad, he's a wonderful man and raised me the best he could. He helps me train for my marathons and he's the one who tried to get me back into dancing after my moms death - her name is Rosalie and boy was she beautiful. She was a dancer, that's how my parents met. And, because of her, I started dancing when I could move on my own two feet but I haven't been able to do it since her passing.
Back to my dad, he's an architect for a very important company in New York. So, even though he is a super busy man, he's always found time for me and always will find time. Until recently, when he went on a business trip to Washington. The day he came home is the day my whole world changed, I just didn't know it yet.
