The greatest gem within the Serandore Kingdom is not a sword or a stone - it's a family, a generation of famous magus' known as the Maelstras'. Each have proven their worth as magicians, and their contributions have earned them a place in the history books.
And all Erin Maelstras wants is to join them, but it's obvious that fate has other plans for her. Destined to watch over the Library of Great Magicians and guard the books housed within, Erin is determined to do whatever it takes to get away from what she believes to be a cumbersome duty.
However, things look set to change when a naive angel appears on her doorstep asking for her assistance in an unusual task. But the winged stranger is not all that he seems, and it isn't long before Erin discovers the truth behind his arrival.
Now she must embark on a dangerous quest to ensure the protection of both humanity and the angels: a task which will test her limits as a magician and prove whether she is worthy of joining her ancestors in the books of history.

For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything.
