This story is about finding love, even when you’re at an all time low.
Amoy Jackson has been ostracized her whole life by her community, all because she testify against a thug and sent him to prison. 
After witnessing Jermaine (thug) murdering her parents and testifying, Amoy was put into the system. But nobody wanted her, in fear that Jermaine’s followers might harm them. So she was sent to a group home, where she gets abused every day. Her only friend was a missionary at the local church (Anna). 
Amoy’s last year in high school, all the seniors was invited to go on a tour of the White house in Washington DC, on the trip Amoy met the most beautiful man she has ever seen (Kevin). Amoy immediately fell in love with him, for he was the first man ever to show interest in her. After the tour Amoy was really upset to know that Kevin is all the way from California and that she will never see him again, or so she thinks.
 Jermaine has 12 months left in prison and all he can think about is killing Amoy and anyone associated with her.
