This is not a romcom. Or maybe it is. I don't know. You decide. Do you find a teenage girl's awkward attempts at romance funny? If so, then this is a romcom and I chose a painfully ironic title for this book. Well, anyways, this book follows June, a socially awkward girl crushing on dudes from a closing distance, with her best friend Jackson by her side, silently judging her taste in guys. Spoiler alert! She ends up with somebody! Is that a spoiler? That's what typically happens in romcoms. But is it a romcom?

Side note: never fall for your fake boyfriend. When my best friend convinced me to write a love letter to my crush, I didn't expect it to all go south. Because instead of the most realistic scenario-him reading the letter and rejecting me privately-the last thing I'd ever expected to happen did. The letter doesn't end up in his locker.
