The year was 2115. Space travel had been pioneered beyond what anyone in the Old World could have realistically imagined. Humans spread far and wide, across planets and solar systems, transported by robust starships. A new age arose for humanity, one filled with hope and potential. The humans silently swore that the mistakes from the Old World would not be repeated. The unfortunate truth was that one had already been made. A burning curiosity for what is not known, inevitably leads the beholder into the jaws of danger. But danger didn't immediately come then, it waited patiently, until the perfect moment. Among many humans stood a few. Rather usual humans, ones you could find anywhere. Like many, these people flew among the stars, in hopes of safety and stability. What you are about to read has been verified as a first-hand account from one of these individuals. While he is no longer with us, he had requested for his documentation to be published after his passing. --------------------------- Already Inside is a novel adaptation of the online social deduction video game, Among Us. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself.
