Percy Jackson has found out he is divergent. What is he going to do? He meets a girl from Erudite during the choosing ceremony, but not in the way he would exactly want. He's not sure, but is the girl like him? Are their aptitude tests similar? Percy is like any other faction boy, making mistakes and trying to fix them. But some mistakes are hard to fix, like choosing the wrong faction. Percy meets many new friends, and soon to be enemy's. Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Leo, Calypso, Octavian, and his new best friend, Luke. Are the leaders of their faction really who they claim to be? Will the faction he chooses keep him safe? Will it kill him? Will it kill the ones he loves? He doesn't know, and maybe he never will.

Lilian Matthews, Jeanine Matthews daughter. She was smart, very smart but she knew Erudite wasn't for her. She preferred physical rather than mental. Jeanine understood this, and she urged her daughter to transfer to Dauntless. Her daughter knew of her plans and was all for it. What happens when she gets to Dauntless and sees her childhood friend that transferred a year before her, and she has feelings for? It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie.
