At the end of the world lies a lost city that is said to contain knowledge of the worlds creation. Every one thousand years, a sage is trained to protect the gates to the city from the hands of evil. However, an ancient evil has awoken to discover this knowledge and use it to destroy the world. This first novel of the quadrilogy focuses in the small village of Ronune on the adventure of a young boy named Jack Roean, who has always sought adventure outside of his small village with a girl named Amalia Stormwell. What they are about to venture to will decide the fate of their own lives and perhaps, the whole world.
