Life, for the most part, has evolved to protect itself with an exoskeleton of sorts. Hard and durable, they serve to preserve individual life in most species. Some garden worlds facilitate the evolution of life without exoskeletons, though these fragile races are often seen as weak and squishy to the Galactic community. One insectoid fighter is about to find out just what makes life on Earth so special.

Every three years a group of two-hundred teens get sent to Earth. After spending two years on Earth, you can choose to go back onto the Ark or to stay on Earth. Most don't survive the first week. They get to either join a Clan, create a new Clan or go solo. If your name is called out, you have to go down. You have no choice. Almost everyone joins a Clan or makes a new Clan. Nobody goes solo, unless you absolutely have to. Or if no Clan accepts you. Every animal on Earth wants to kill humans, they have all mutated after the Nuclear War, all the ones that survived, and are out for human flesh and blood. Bastien Water's name gets called out during the Choosing and he has to try to survive on Earth. While his family grieves thinking that Bastien won't survive but he's out to prove them wrong.
