Me And Molly

My day started as any other,
Woke up without a bother,
Dropped in school by my mother,
The weather was cold and miserable.

The day was good,
Happy and content,
Our playground was made of wood,
It was raining, school should make a tent.

Soon I was greeted by the sun,
Shimmering and glistening,
I loved going out for a run,
The heat was so crippling!

I finished my school day,
Couldn't wait to go home,
Had loads to tell and say,
To my parents when i come home.

I left the school gates,
To my surprise,
My dad awaits,
He then cries.

Come look inside,
So I approach curiously,
I go big eyed,
ITS A DOGGY!!

She is so lively,
Happy and licky,
She's so brightly,
her tongue is so sticky.

She arrives home with us,
Comes in bouncing around,
She sits without a fuss,
Acts like such a clown.

We show her around our home,
Smelling, examining everything,
So she can know go for a roam,
She finds a toy, no wait, it's string.

She has such an amazing character,
We decided upon the name 'Molly'
Very popular in aquaria,
Known for having many colours.

Mainly black they are known for,
This name is perfect,
Strangely she loves the floor,
Casually making the floor nice and wrecked.

Its been 10 years,
To this day you have been there,
I want to say cheers,
For me you always care.

We've been through a lot,
Happy and sad,
To our home happiness you have brought,
Never making us mad.

Thank you for our time together,
Several more memories yet to come,
You have always been my chum,
No matter the weather.

Whispers from the Heart

141 parts Ongoing

Welcome to "Whispers from the Heart", my collection of poems that explore depths of love, hate and self-imagery. My poems mainly resonates on three themes: love, trust and loyalty. I've found solace in writing, and making poems a reflection of raw experiences. I hope you'll find pieces of yourself in these poems and that they will inspire you to listen to your own heart whispers.
