A story in which a girl suffers an abusive father and uncaring mother.
After Allies Clare's father is arrested for the murder Allie moves in with her grandma. Who lives in Wisconsin. Five states away. With no friends, hardly anything to her name, and a grandma who's as old as time, this summer is sure to be boring!
