Hi, my name is Mystique. I live in a world of poverty and this is the year of 2209. World War 3 struck and lasted for about 10 years, after the war or "The Greatest War" as some people may call it, there was extreme damage done. The world tried to pick itself up but it only got worse and eventually the lives of people rich and poor got worse by the days. Starvation was a popular occurrence and so was dehydration. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? And one more thing before I go-welcome to the world of Dark Light.

The only goal in life is to stay alive. Think about it, it's true. Some people just can't accomplish it while others barely pass with each passing day and a small percent excel at accomplishing it. For some people it's an easy task and they can look to other things, but for others it is a daily struggle. For me and my family it's a daily struggle. My name is Rose Loera and I am 19 years old. I am three months away from being forced into the military like every other unemployed Bronze in the world. Bronzes are those in the world who bleed that color, have no special powers, and are forced to lead their lives in squalor. Bronze lives in the dirt while the Silvers rule the nation with their amazing powers. Their powers are the only reason Bronzes still live like we do, we're too scared. But I'm not scared of much, I'm a thief, fear could get me killed. But one night I stole from the wrong person, I stole from the prince. Yeah see that wasn't really the problem, he gave me money and even rewarded me. What went wrong was what happened later, when I and every noble in my country discovered that I, a Bronze, have the power of a Silver, actually my power isn't even something they have heard of. People always say every life should be cherished. That every single one of them is equally fragile and precious. Like a beautiful glass sculpture or the blossoming flowers in spring. But the thing is, everyone's definition of beautiful is different. Some people prefer roses over orchids. Some of them like sculptures of people whereas others like sculptures of animals. And so there are times when even the most beautiful sculpture gets thrown away like trash or forgotten somewhere because they found one that's prettier. The beautiful flowers that bloomed in spring will wither away and eventually become nothing but dust. There are times when a sculpture in itself could be really beautiful but a tiny flaw will make people deem it as a "mistake". The flowers that are left to wither away just because they miss a leave, or because they aren't the right size or the right colour. So you see that saying about every life being equally precious?, yeah that only counts for the "perfect" ones. Still some of these faulty sculptures and broken flowers managed to make it into the world. They would be facing the harsh reality of this world and would have to fight to survive. Some of them would unfortunately lose this fight in the end, leaving to a faraway place in hopes to find peace and quiet. Still just being able to make it this far in this harsh world is something to be proud of, as friends and family will forever remember these brave individuals who fought hard to survive until the very end.

That is until a strange case where a woman was infected but did not mutate. She was thought to have been the cure. Little did they know she was actually the cause for the world we live in today. That's right she was the first, Tina Primrose, the virus eventually seemed to died off as the descendants of Tina became hunters who'd hunter their brethren with the abilities gifted to them through the blood of Tina Primrose. Then there was the war between the remaining humans and those monsters. Naturally the humans won with our aid. Life was fine as we rebuilt the world until the day of our betrayal. The new government formed by the humans banished us from this world and we were hunted down. The last surviving members of the Primrose bloodline were two siblings. A Boy named Dakota Isaragi Primrose and his sister formed a group known as L.U.N.A. An Organization dedicated to those who have been born with the cursed bloodlines to find solace. The government attacked the organization but to save his brethren Dakota struck a deal with the Government to spar the lives of the members of the organization if he turned himself over to the government. Sadly, he was also betrayed. His brethren slain and his memory wiped the government believed they'd won but, the battles only just begun.

It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden.
