It's the 1800's, the unfortunate tale of one woman in the dark and cold London. Her name is Katherine/Kali. She was forced to marry before she finished her studies at the UCL University. Her husband Cole treated her like she was nothing, he used to beat her, show her to his friends and do unspeakable things to her. One night she was beaten up so badly that she was laying down on a street bearly conscious. Adrian a very old and pureblood vampire, finds Katherine and turns her into a vampire as well. It was the only way to save her. Later she was brought to an underground house hidden in a graveyard, it was the hiding place of the clan which Adrian led. Adrian had a brother named Seth, they both didn't get along well. But once Seth stepped into Katherine's life she started to have feelings for him but was still attached to Adrian since he saved her and showed her how to be a vampire. Adrian discovered how Katherine felt and became a monster, Adrian and Seth had a huge fight and Seth was hurt. Once Katherine found out how Adrian truly was, she left him and chose to be with Seth. Natalie Conners is Johnathan 'Johnny' Loughran's best friend. They've been friends since diapers, and Natalie goes with Johnny on all of his adventures. They've been all over the world ranging from the Pyramids of Egypt, where they found cursed objects and cool mummies, to trying to find the Lost City of Atlantis, which they almost made it to if it weren't for Johnny freaking out over seeing a large shark. This time, they're travelling through Transylvania where all the monster stories they've grown up on have originated from. As they're travelling, they stop at a cabin for the night where an old lady's terrified husband tells them about a haunted forest, and who wouldn't go there? Instead of staying the night, Natalie and Johnny immediately set off to the creepy forest, looking for ghosts and whatever else goes 'bump' in the night. Unfortunately, while they're exploring, Johnny ends up falling down a hill due to his clumsy nature, and this brings the two best friends to find a group of strange people on fire! Of course, who wouldn't follow the people who are on fire and seem to be completely immune to it? This brings them to the biggest castle they have ever seen.
