Asami and Tsukiko were born in Osaka. They were raised there for four years living right next door to the Hattori family. However, before they started school, their family relocated them to Tokyo to take care of their sick grandmother. They never moved back but Heiji never forgot Asumi. One night before her grandmother's death, Tsukiko heard from the adults that the infamous Phantom Thief would be stealing the family heirloom. Tsukiko stayed up late to catch sight of the thief and almost fell to her death. Kaitou Kid comes for Tsukiko's private collection of jewels and jewelry and she allows him to have a peek. While she falls in love with him, Asami encounters their childhood friend who never stopped crushing on her. When their eldest brother by two years learns that they're back in touch with Heiji, Asahi asks about Kazuha, his first crush though, she was his younger sisters' best friend. Like there are two sides of a coin, Asami and Tsukiko are like night and day. Opposites in every way, but while the happy-go lucky twin is named for the moon, the one named for the morning is a recluse who likes to read and stare over her book at a certain Detective.
