Claire Brookes is nineteen, young, happy, and free. It's the summer after her freshman year of college, and her and her three best friends are going on a two-month long trip to California, which is all the way across the country from their home state, Florida. Lauren's got an intern job, Amber is happily occupied with frequent surf lessons, and Elle is highly interested in exploring the busy city life of Los Angeles, all three girls with their new boyfriends in tow. That leaves Claire to find a nitch, or some sort of hobby of her own.

Well, that hobby we're talking about here, really found her first. And she wasn't so sure that she liked this new hobby so much. And this hobby made it clear that he didn't like her so much either. And Claire certainly wasn't about to place her heart on her sleeve just for this hobby either. That would be just ridiculous. Wouldn't it?
