2022 was the year, a new video game called Sword Art Online has just been released. The latest technology allows a player to be "literally in the game". As a Beta tester and mostly solo player Kanda, re-enters the game. He soon meets Allen, who is a newbie, at a meeting which was set up to find the first floor's boss.
