Mature
Leaving most of her family, all of her friends and her home country behind, portuguese 17 year old Amália Fernandes moves to South Carolina with her parents and two younger siblings, due to her father getting a position at the Medical University of South Carolina. With a typical northern portuguese personality and no patience for most people, Amália finds that high school in the States is nothing like it was back home.
While at school, she meets Connor Stevensons, the bad boy quarterback of the Beaufort Eagles, for whom she develops an embarassingly fast growing crush. Then Tyler Johnsson. While trying not to punch most people who treat like she's stupid, and figuring out her feelings for both boys, Amália copes with all the changes around her.

Southern Boy Charm | ✓

40 parts Complete

Southern boys are supposed to be charming, right? Wrong. Because when Leighton moves onto her family friend's farm for the summer, she finds that their son, Nick, is anything but charming. Instead, he's one of the rudest people she's ever met, and makes it his life's mission to let her know just how much he hates her. But they're stuck there for the summer, and while the farm is bigger than her home in the city, it's not big enough. Forced into being together, his resolve begins to crack, and sparks begin to fly. Through it all, she realizes that maybe, just maybe, his southern charm is there after all.
