The C9 are the rebellious apostates of the human life, who feed on human flesh and were once human themselves. They were once apart of a union, not just any union but Doctors for the highly ranked Scientific Institute 'Angelus Anatomy'. They were the upper class of psychologist who studied Angelology, the science of angels and believed that angels existed in humanly form. That meant that if angels existed so did fallen angels.
