Him and Aj knew each other in NXT and they don't remember each other when they move up to the main roster. They completely disowned him, and moved away with their hopes of starting over. Only when is no help left for you, are you sent there. All AJ can think is "I'm not crazy enough to go there", being moved from Union City, New Jersey to Cincinnati, Ohio.
