When you're the new kid on the block, you have a hard time fitting in with the crowd. It's hard to make friends, especially when you fight monsters in your spare time. Rowen Serpoy (Sir-Poi) lives with her 'Aunt' Sarah, who took her in after she found her in a corrupt group home, when Rowen was only 7. Rowen's Aunt Sarah taught her how to hunt from the moment she got Rowen into her custody. Rowen is now 17, going on 18, and just moved to a quiet town in Oaklahoma. There she meets a group of people who are exactly like her, hunters. Rowen had a very hard time connecting with them, but one of the more experienced hunters of the group took a liking towards her. He knew she was a good hunter, but he needed to prove it, and he has the perfect test in mind.
