Katherine Valentine. Depended on her brother and herself. It's always been that way. Her parents are drug addicts and alcoholics. Her father, abusive.
She doesn't trust easily. Trust is earned. Katherine always seemed to be alone. Being alone just seemed to be better for her. At least that's what she thought.
When disease breaks out, she flees and finds herself with a group.
In that group, a man with characteristics like her. Resemblance, clear. But even that seems to keep them apart.

Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. He's 30 and has been in the army so he's basically prepared for the apocalypse being. He has dirt blonde hair with bluish-greenish eyes he got his looks from their father. Lucy is scared for life until Daryl pops in and suddenly cares for her almost immediately...since he sees she's so pathetic and petite so he sees as if he has to take care of her and protect her in some way. I always had my brother or my dad around, even though they're not the best company or influence, they're my family, and my brother had a whole bunch of mates around who I always would hang around. I'm good on my own, I don't mind being alone one bit. But I never was truly lonely. Though I only find that out when I meet a guy who just moved into our town. Chase is the epitome of loneliness. I think there first was Chase and loneliness was named after him. He's lost in that self depriving, pathetic little world of his. His brain is set on the idea that everyone will eventually abandon him and his brain goes to extremes trying to cope with it. I don't know why, but something makes me want to prove him wrong.
