Love. Love is such a strong word. Love is something you feel for someone you truly care about. Right? So is love ever possible to feel for someone that you hated so much for so long? Mikayla is a junior at Bristol High School in Bristol, Tennesee. She's sixteen, 5'4, plays softball and volleyball, and has a great and positive personality. However, her family has a lot of issues. Her dad is a depressed alcoholic who likes to take his anger out on Mikayla and her twin brother, Joey. Mikayla thinks sex and relationships are stupid. It's high school. She wants to lay back and be mature. However, will that ever change? I mean, high school is always rough and deceiving, right? Mikayla is an excellent student and makes amazing grades. However, she has competition. Daniel is Mikayla's competition. He plays quarterback on their school's football team. Typical, right? Well, Mikayla and Daniel have competed against each other for years. Daniel likes to push Mikayla down and make her feel like he's superior and better. Daniel is six-foot-something and handsome. He could pull any girl he wanted, however, he remains single. Is it his terrible personality? Or does he like being single? This story is about teenage love and the problems that you can encounter in high school. Mikayla and Daniel, head to-head, all the time. However, who will win overall? Who will be the bigger person and try to drop all of their immaturity and stupidity? After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living. Causing the end of the world and being the only one who can save the world wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Phoenix wasn't meant to have magical abilities, and he most definitely shouldn't have been able to make all the money in the world disappear just by thinking about it. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. Which turns out to be more challenging than they thought, as they find out someone is tailing Phoenix with the intention to kill.

"Andie, we've talked to you about skipping taking your pills." And then the hallucinations would get worse. They were so realistic Andie could never tell reality apart from illusion. Andie thought leaving town would set her free from her past, sleeping with her friend's boyfriend, getting arrested, fighting with her dad. She had to find a way, but for some reason, life didn't want her to leave.
