Footsteps, not mine, were pounding behind me, making fear rise within my veins. My head was pounding, my heart racing, and my feet moving as fast as they could.
'But my speed wasn't fast enough. A scream left my already parted lips as an icy cold hand grabbed my upper arm. Before I could scream again, the other hand clamped over my mouth shut. Fear was all I felt, as a stared into his emerald green eyes, those same eyes that have been watching me for months. He smiled, showing pearly white teeth...
and two sharp fangs...'
