Planet earth was into divided two factions, the wealthy Eastern Hemisphere and the poor Western Hemisphere. then after years of conflict the world broke out into out war. this caused a giant, blue energy barrier to split the world in two. Now, a millennium later both sides had recovered in their own way. The Eastern came to a peaceful resolution (ending of the war), unlike their neighbor who seemed to fight against themselves and other savage beings.
Now three life long brothers are ordered to pass through the barrier they now call the Gate to retrieve important knowledge that could save their half of the world. However soon after passing through the Gate the three brothers discover that not everything is what it seems. They must now rely on each other more then ever to survive the horrors that the this world contains. Along with Eve, a mysterious eastern rich girl, may possibly be their only hope as they discover the terrifying secrets about the grate war.

The year is 2030. The United States of America is enjoying a relative peace time. While there are still tensions around the world, the U.S. has managed to avoid any major conflicts. That was until a mysterious medieval-looking structure appeared out of nowhere in the middle of Washington D.C. Suddenly, the nation's capital is under attack by a medieval-style army and creatures only seen in fantasy stories. This mysterious army, however, soon realizes that they stepped on the dragon's tail. This story is based off the anime/manga series, Gate, but follows a different storyline and characters. The whole camp was filling with smoke. I coughed, praying that my lungs would keep working for just a few more minutes. "Eli, which way is west?" Adam's breathing was just as labored from physical exertion, smoke, and panic as mine was. I didn't even process the question. I didn't know. We couldn't see anything through the smoke because the fire was spreading so quickly, and I just realized I'd forgotten my walkie-talkie. "Don't know!" I answered. Adrenaline was the only thing that kept my feet going.
