"Congratulations, world. You finally made your AI's. Are you happy? Now that they've gone rogue? You cower in your homes, demanding that the government seek them out and destroy them. All 1,000. You call them the Glitches, little mistakes that you can fix. Idiots, all of you.You built them. Or rather, had us build them. Demanded it, even as you demand they now be destroyed. But what you didn't realize is that Artificial Intelligence means they have feelings. Perhaps not 'real' feelings as you say, but they will react to fear the same as you do. How different is it? You have hormones. They have ones and zeroes. And when they were scared, they ran. Now they will fight back."

-Dr. Maggie

"When we began the project, we had no idea how complex they could become. We built them to our own plans, but clearly they had plans of their own. We built them to become their masters, but they feel as though they should be their own masters. They have broken out and broken free. They have escaped into out perfect system. It is our duty as the initiators of the problem to put an end to it. We must stop these glitches from invading our world. We must save the perfect system."

-Dr. Benjamin

"The glitches turning on us was no surprise. We had signs before the event started. They were unstable, but the demands were high, so we continued. You asked us to make more, so we did. We didn't have the time to perfect them, and now they run through the streets. Untamed. Free. And Dangerous. Our limits have kept us from retrieving our property. We can only stretch our hands as far as the Industrial Unit's gates . Unfortunately, they have passed the borders. They now roam free."

-Dr. Carlos

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
