Obscured Skies

"I bet you took one look at me and thought she's that naive girl. The girl that needs a super hero. I bet you automatically thought I was a damsel in distress that needed saving. Well let me tell you something Dean Asher Skies. Just because you caught me staring in a restaurant doesn't mean anything. Just because I get good grades and sit alone at lunch doesn't mean I can't handle myself. I don't need a super hero. I don't need anyone." Nichole screamed at me at the top of her lungs her voice cracked on the last word.
But little does she know that that's not what I think at all. She may not be a damsel in distress. But she does need somone. Everyone does.
"I didn't think that." I whispered as I dropped my gaze to the ground.

For Nichole it had always been her, her best friend, and her father. Nichole is the girl that sits in the back of the class hoping no one notices her. She's brilliantly smart. But she doesn't show it. She avoids her classmates. Because she has learned from experience that its best not to get attached. She believes that nothing good ever comes from that.
