Chase Gibbs is a street kid. After his mother kicks him out he finds it even harder to trust anyone. In New York City he sits on the corners and wait for people to toss him their spare change. In the city not many people take pity on a black 16 year old teen or anybody for that matter. When Chase unexpectedly meets Zaylee, an 11 year old runaway, he feels like he must help her endure the streets. Together the two steal and run to survive the harsh streets. When a gang and a stranger take a sudden interest in Chase his life takes a sharp turn.All Rights Reserved

He's been homeless since he was 16. Now he's 28. After being constantly harassed by shop owners and police officer and moved from place to place, Derek finds a new place in the alleyway behind a bakery. As the New York winter begins to roll in, Danielle's compassionate persona moves her to do things most people wouldn't.
