The year is 1967. 

The Vietnam war is raging, soldiers are being drafted against their will. Like all wars, wives and families are separated from the ones they love.

Violet Robinson, a young mother is left home with her two sons while her husband is on the battlefront. However he's not a soldier, he's a reporter who was given this opportunity to get the raw and real information the American people are being kept from.

She must deal with the loneliness that her husband has caused by choosing to go over, while trying to conquer her mental illness.
